Making Southaven Smile
Invisalign
Invisalign straightens your teeth with a series of clear, virtually invisible custom-molded aligners. By using a series of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth with results you’ll notice sooner than you think. The course of treatment involves changing aligners approximately every two weeks, moving your teeth into straighter position step by step, until you have a more beautiful smile. And unlike braces, these clear aligners can be removed while you eat and brush your teeth as usual.
Veneers & Lumineers
Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is placed over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect. The direct technique usually involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is usually referred to as bonding. The indirect technique usually involves two appointments because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental laboratory. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory fabricated veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic. The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is generally less uncomfortable. Veneers are recommended for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.
Lumineers are thin porcelain veneers that are bonded to the front of your teeth to create a beautiful smile. Lumineers can be placed in only 2 easy visits. The minimally invasive Lumineers technique typically eliminates the need for shots or temporaries, so while you wait for your custom-made Lumineers, you’ll look great and feel great. Unlike traditional veneers, Lumineers preserve your tooth structure and typically require no shots or drilling (individual cases may vary).
In Office Whitening
This is the procedure of making teeth whiter, and therefore more attractive. Our office uses several methods utilizing passive tray whitening, and professional strength white strips.
Botox & Dermal Fillers
Botox
Botox works by blocking nerve signals in the muscle where it is injected. This prevents the muscle from moving and causing wrinkles and lines to appear. Wrinkles can be softened or even removed with Botox. Your doctor or practitioner might use Botox to smooth wrinkles around the eyes, on the forehead, or even around the mouth.
Botox has been used for decades and is very safe to use. It was first approved for use by the FDA in 1989 and is now not only used for wrinkles, but can also treat migraines, hyperhidrosis, and many other conditions.
Dermal Fillers
Injectable dermal fillers are products used to fill in tissue where volume has been lost. Fillers are commonly used in the cheeks, lips, and around the mouth. Plumping up these areas gives a more youthful look by smoothing lines and adding volume.
Snap On Smile
Snap on smile is an affordable, non-invasive, and completely reversible dental appliance that can easily and painlessly give you a beautiful smile. It is a thin and strong appliance that you can eat and drink with. It’s easy to care for and can be a temporary or permanent solution that’s available for upper and lower teeth. It requires no drilling, no shots, and no change in tooth structure. Its an excellent choice to fix gaps, crooked, stained, or missing teeth.
